Our Mission
OUR MISSION IS TO SCALE SOCIAL IMPACT PROGRAMS.
About the Center
The Center helps businesses and social enterprise organizations with the drive to address pressing societal issues unlock their full potential. With 25 years of experience in the social impact space, we offer strategic coaching, community building, idea generation, and organizational development support to empower clients to dream big, create bold strategic plans, and scale their impact.
God has blessed us with incredible clients, supporters and opportunities to make a difference. Our mission is to help you clarify yours and scale impact beyond your current abilities. Whether you’re looking for fund development planning, guidance in breaking through organizational barriers, or just want to know how you can help serve your community better, we’re here to walk alongside you.
What makes our approach unique is that we are high-touch. We get to know our clients deeply—their teams, challenges, and what stands in the way of their success—and together, we break through those barriers. We believe everyone has genius, we believe in loving and respecting one another, and we believe in investing in what truly scales your impact.
If you’re ready to dream bigger and achieve more, let’s make it happen.
About RISE
Founded in the spring of 2025 after six months of partnership exploration with Social Current, RISE Northwest Ohio was created in response to the persistent challenges facing the social sector in building sustainable organizations and programs.
RISE Northwest Ohio is an initiative of the Center for Community Impact, launched in partnership with Social Current, a respected national convener and thought leader in the social sector. Guided by an Advisory Council of regional experts, RISE is piloting a National Social Sector Strengthening Campaign—a bold, data-informed effort to test innovative strategies that make nonprofits stronger, more visible, and more impactful across Northwest Ohio.
Our work was inspired by the groundbreaking documentary UnCharitable, directed and produced by Stephen Gyllenhaal, which challenges the misconceptions that limit the effectiveness of nonprofits and argues for a reimagined approach to philanthropy, investment, and social change. The film and its national movement have become a rallying point for leaders seeking to unlock the full potential of the nonprofit sector.
Building on more than a decade of national thought leadership, RISE Northwest Ohio represents the next step in a growing national movement.
With start-up funding from the Keller Foundation, RISE is bringing this conversation home, empowering the region’s social sector to lead the way toward a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable future.
